She has worked on projects across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the South Pacific. She is also a mentor and a connector of people to people and to opportunities.  

Rosalind is known for having a rare level of strategic insight and for providing highly credible and pragmatic advice to Boards and Senior Executives. And now for you as well.

Rosalind Kainyah MBE is an authority and trusted advisor on Sustainability and responsible business with over 30 years of combined legal, international, executive and board level experience.   She has advised companies across a variety of sectors including the extractives industry, energy, private equity, financial services, healthcare, agriculture, consumer goods, logistics, manufacturing and technology.   

 

Rosalind has worked with companies and organisations including Linklaters, Anglo American Corporation of South Africa, De Beers, Tullow Oil plc, the United Nations Environment Programme, University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Unit, and ERM. She has worked on projects across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the South Pacific.

Rosalind is also an experienced non-executive director.  She currently serves on the boards of discoverIE plc, Gem Diamonds Limited, CalBank PlcLekela Power and BTE Renewables.   In the not-for-profit sector, she is Vice Chairperson of the Africa Gifted Foundation and a Board member of Results for Development (R4D).    She has previously served on the Boards of Aker Energy, the Ghana Food & Drugs Authority and The Africa-America Institute.

Rosalind holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London and a Master of Laws degree from University College, London. She is a member of the Bar of England and Wales and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Rosalind Kainyah MBE draws unique insight from her 30 years of international legal, senior management executive and board level experience to tell us, ‘Why all SMES Need to Go Back to Basics with ESG’. She has advised companies from a vast variety of sectors - from mining and manufacturing to energy and technology and many between – on this very topic; how to leverage opportunities and manage risk relating to Sustainability.    

Companies and organisations from all round the world, including De Beers, Tullow Oil plc, Linklaters and the United Nations Environment Programme, are just some of those she has worked with.

 

Rosalind has been recognised with an MBE for services to CSR for the benefit of youth in Africa, in 2014 and in 2021 she was named as one of the International Women’s Forum’s Women Who Make a Difference in 2021.

Rosalind’s mission continues. She is with us today to contribute further to economic and social development that brings real and sustainable benefit to all by helping SMEs navigate ESG.
